Jason Sargent is the Head Instructor for the Sargent Bujinkan Dojo. Jason has been training in the Bujinkan since 1986 when he commenced training with Ed Lomax. Since that time Jason and Ed have continued to train toghether, 2015 saw Jason reach his 29th year of training in the Bujinkan.
In 2012 Jason returned to Japan to the Hombu (Head Dojo) for more intensive training whith Hatsumi Sensei and the other Senior Japanese Shihan, it was on this visit that Jason was graded to 15th Dan Shihan (Master Instructor).
The highlight of this trip to Japan apart from bieng graded by Hatsumi Sensei was attending the 2012 Daikomyosai
Jason has trained in Martial Arts since the age of 11, firstly in Tae Kwon Do with Choon Bong Lee of the Lee’s Tea Kwon do School for 2 years and then with the Wing Chun Academy under the late Jimmy Fung for 4 years reaching the level of Junior Instructor
Jason holds a Bachelor of Policng, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and various other qualifications including a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Workplace training and Assessment. Jason is currently undertaking his Masters in Social Work (Qualifying). Jason has served both with the Australian Defence Force, The Australian Federal Police and the Australian Protective Service both in Australian and Overseas.
